CLASS LEVELS

"While our dance classes are listed by age groups, placement ultimately depends on skill level to ensure each student receives the appropriate instruction and challenge. Our instructors will asses each dancer to place them in the class that best suits their abilities and experience."

Pre-School Level 1 Classes Ages 2 ½-3 ½yrs (Tap, Ballet)

Pre-School Level 2 Classes Ages 4-5yrs ( Jazz, Tap, Ballet, and Acrobatics.)

Level K Classes ages 6-7yrs (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, and Acrobatics.)

Level 1 Classes (Ages 8-11yrs)

Level 2 Classes (Ages 12-14yrs)

Level 3 Classes (Ages 15 &Up)

Adult Division (Ages 18 &Up)

Dance Attire

Pre-School Levels

Hair-

Students hair must be pulled back away from the face for class. A bun is preferred. Short hair can be pulled away from the face with a headband or bobbi pins.

Ballet-

Pink or white tights.
Ballet skirt any color or print.
Pink Ballet slippers.

Tap-

Pink, white, tan, or black tights.
Dance skirt any color or print or shorts solid color black or pink.
Black buckle tap shoes.

Jazz-

Pink, white, tan, or black tights.
Dance shorts; solid color black or pink or black dance pants.
Tan slip on Jazz shoes. (No laces)

Male Students

Black dance pants, sweat pants, or shorts. Solid white or black shirt.
Ballet slippers: Black or white
Tap shoes: Black tie or slip on shoes.
Jazz shoes: Black (Preferably slip on.)
Hip Hop: clean white bottom sneakers or jazz shoes.

Acrobatics (All Levels)

Leotards with dance shorts, biketards, or tight fitting tank tops with dance shorts. No tights. Students must be barefoot.

Dancers (Level 1 & Up)

Ballet Classes-

Pink or white tights. Solid color leotard, Ballet skirt. Properly fitting Ballet slippers.

Contemporary & Lyrical Classes-

Pink, white, or tan tights. (Tights can be footed, footless, or convertible.) Solid color leotard with dance shorts. FootUndeez, or Ballet slippers may be worn.

Jazz Classes-

Any color tights, leotard, Dance shorts or pants. Tan or Black slip on Jazz shoes. Please NO baggy clothing. Shannon's Studio of Dance logo attire may be worn to class.

Tap Classes-

Any color tights, leotard, Dance shorts or pants. Black tap shoes. Shannon's Studio of Dance logo attire may be worn to class.

Hip Hop Classes-

Tights are optional for this class. Any color leotard, tank top or shirt, Dance shorts or pants. Hip Hop sneakers or CLEAN white bottom sneakers. Shannon's Studio of Dance logo attire may be worn to class.
